The exchange of letters follows the signing of the RTS Link Bilateral Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Singapore and the Government of Malaysia at the 8th Singapore-Malaysia Leaders’ Retreat on 16 January 2018, as well as the earlier signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Prasarana and SMRT in September 2017.
